Appreciation Day

GNWS strives for the holistic and creative development of students so that they can successfully participate in meeting the challenges of the fast growing technological society. We strive for excellence in all the spheres of life and aim to produce individuals who are educated, disciplined , obedient, self reliant and law –abiding citizens . Our aim is to inculcate in our students our cultural values of truth, honesty, humility and respect for others. We believe that knowledge gives confidence and humbleness.

Schools are temples of learning and education is the supreme liberating force. It liberates us from ignorance, superstition and prejudice.

Keeping that in mind GNWS organized ‘APPRECIATION DAY’ . To add glitter to the event we invited Dr. Savita Mohan, Director GNIOT, as our ‘Guest of Honor’.

A sense of gratitude can benefit children in a variety of ways. It can increase confidence, decrease stress and has other important emotional health benefits. A person who is grateful tends to spend less time comparing him or herself with others and feeling envious

Praising anybody for his or her task can increase the confidence of receiver. The word “Appreciation” looks smaller from outside but it can help achieve anything if used properly. This word is the most powerful word for motivating someone. If someone gets appreciated for a certain task then that person always gives best in all further tasks.

This word is motivational, carrying a huge power inside and can turn negative thoughts into positive. This is the magic of appreciation. Many people know how to make use of this word while others recognize its depth and meaning. If this word if used for a person, he/she can carry out any difficult task with low input energy. Many organizations are known for the culture of appreciation. This is the main reason behind the happiness of our students.

If there is a difficult task ahead and a student is unfamiliar with the ways to carry out that task, the educator tries to appreciate child or children for their previous task. This increases the inner power of that person.
Everyone in this world loves to receive appreciation for their tasks. If someone has done something for us then saying thank you is a formality. But if you provides a motivational words like “good work”, “keep it up” or “excellent” along with the thank you then next time that person works with twice energy.

Appreciating the little things in life means that you focus your attention on what nurtures and sustains you in life
